Book Making Workshop

I am at present doing a book making course with Gail Stiffe. Gail is the Editor for IAPMA (International Papermakers Association), and she also runs the Women's Art Register.

The venue for the 'book making' is at St. Stephen's Community House, Ringwood, and at present it stretches over 4 Saturdays. Hopefully, if there is enough interest, then she will consider expanding the course.

Writing About Art

A fantastic 'how-to' book on how to think and write about art is 'A Short Guide To Writing About Art'.

So far, the little I have managed to read, I found extremely informative. However, trying to find another spare five minutes to read some more is another story in itself!

Anyway, gotta go now, the family is hungry and starting to lose too much weight!

Cornucopia for St Georges Restaurant

This is my drawing for the St Georges Restaurant. The 'Cornucopia' also known as the 'Horn of Plenty' dates back to the 5th Century. It stands for abundance and fertility. I have always loved the symbolism. In my version the horn is an organic matter and it is morphing into orchids.
